Overview

An article is a type of determiner which comes before a noun. In English, we distinguish two types of articles, the definite article including the, and  the indefinite articles including a and an.

Examples:

  • The dog is happy.
  • The tomatoes are red.
  • There is a train coming in 5 minutes.
  • Look! I can see a hotel over there.
