Adjectives: -ed | -ing


Some adjectives can have an -ed or -ing ending.

Adjectives ending in -ed describe the state of people:

  • I am excited about the trip at the weekend.
  • These children are very talented.

Adjectives ending in -ing describe the way something makes people feel.

  • I read an interesting article about the political situation in South America.
  • This homework is very confusing.
